Cathryn Paine

Cathryn Paine leads talent management and organizational development for Anzu Partners, providing counsel and functional support on recruiting, HR, and business operations to its portfolio companies.

Cathryn has spent the majority of her career working for software companies, most recently for Mapbox, a high growth start-up building mapping and location tools for developers. Cathryn led recruiting at Mapbox between its A and C funding rounds, quadrupling the size of the company. She also built and executed processes around HR, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employment policies.

Previously, Cathryn ran operations for FrontlineSMS, a mobile messaging software company with offices in Washington, DC and Nairobi, Kenya. She traveled extensively, training and supporting users of the software, and managed the organization’s operations, including finance, recruiting, and HR.

Cathryn received her BA and MA from the George Washington University.
