Associate
Tayo Sanders II is an Associate at Anzu Partners with expertise in materials science and biotechnology. As a summer associate, Tayo led technical diligence on the firm’s first acquisition, Axsun Technologies, which resulted in a successful exit in Q1 2019. He has provided strategic portfolio and diligence support on several of the firm’s investments since 2015.
Tayo’s finance experience also includes time within the bonds team at Bridgewater Associates, where he developed internal investment theses and publications on emerging markets.
He received his BSc in Materials Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he was awarded a Goldwater Scholarship for his research on 2D arrays of gold nanoparticles and received NSF funding to pursue ionic liquid crystal research at the University of Strasbourg, France.
Prior to joining the firm full-time, Tayo pursued his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. His dissertation focused on the development of single-administration vaccines.
